Phototoxic Caution: If applying to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or UV light, max. topical use is 12%.

Since LG-Blend does not have a limiting dilution parameter (other than the phototoxic limitation), we suggest that adults follow the General Guidelines found on the Dilution Chart, which is:
2-3% for daily application
Up to 25% for short-term use

Children: For infants and children, please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

Inhalation: Diffuse or use a personal Nasal Inhaler

Internal: LG-Blend is suitable for internal use within safe parameters if such use is deemed appropriate. We feel that internal use is rarely *needed* and should only be used with respect for how concentrated the oils are. HEO does not advocate internal use of essential oils without appropriate knowledge and understanding of how to administer, for what purpose, how much, which essential oils, safety concerns and so on. In our experience, essential oils are generally more effective used topically with proper dilution or inhaled. Kurt Schnaubelt Ph.D. notes that "French aromatherapy literature contains many references to using oils orally." He goes on to note that "generally 1 drop is always enough when ingesting essential oils." A potential toxicity hazard could occur when untrained people use essential oils orally and ingest too much. Keep in mind that while medical doctors or health care practitioners may prescribe essential oils for internal use, they are trained and experienced in the safe application of essential oils. It is not a matter of using "French aromatherapy" or "British" methods, it's a matter of experience and appropriate application.

1. Thank you, Linda and Crew. The LG-Blend has been a wonderful help to me. - Maridee

2. I can definitely feel this working when I apply it. - Rhonda

3. My daughter has had elevated liver enzymes since being on IV antibiotics for Lyme disease. We got them under control using Hep Blend (Celery Seed, Helichrysum, Ledum), LG-Blend and Ledum on her lower back twice a day. Once they were under control, I tried going back to just using Hep Blend by itself but the enzyme levels came back up. But we're very thankful for a way to keep them under control! - Katy

5. I love this LG-Blend! I used it topically last night, and within minutes I had no pain! - Missy

6. Having had Lyme disease for about 25 years, my liver took quite a beating. I applied Myrrh topically on the front and back of the liver twice a day for 6 months, and it made a big difference. I also took a couple of drops of Lemon oil every morning. I felt that it helped support my liver and kept my body in balance. I am so thankful that Linda has given us so much of her help and knowledge to overcome these diseases. Blessings to you, Linda, and your family! What an answer to prayer you are! - Susan

7. I've been using your LG-Blend for a while, and I think it works better for me than the TCM herbal blend I had been taking. I have used it faithfully for a couple of years now. - Savannah

8. I had high liver enzyme levels. I purchased Hopewell's LG-Blend and applied up to 5 drops of the LG-Blend with a tsp or less of Unscented Lotion twice a day over my liver. After the enzyme levels came down, I tapered off to 3-4 drops twice a day.  I also used the blend in a bath. I added 5 drops of LG-Blend into shampoo, and then combined the shampoo/LG-Blend with 1-1/2 cups epsom salt.  - Becky

Safety
Use with caution during pregnancy.
Avoid applying to skin that will be in direct sunlight for 3-6 hours after use (although a dilution of 24 drops per ounce is considered safe).

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat— like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. Tisserand suggests: "With essential oils, fatty oil has been suggested as an appropriate first aid treatment, though the advantage of saline [eyewash] is that the eyes can be continually flushed, and this is less easy with fatty oil." We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your healthcare provider.
