We believe that essential oils are provided by the Lord to support our health and well-being.
The Lord is our wisdom, protector and healer.

1. I recently discovered Resolve, and it really works well for headaches and various pain/discomforts. Resolve for me is on a par with my very favorites Strength and Regeneration! I will never be without those three! I'm not even certain that the Resolve doesn't work even better than Migraine Relief for headaches. It's the oil I reach for when I'm getting a headache now. - Leslie

2. My husband has migraine headaches quite often and uses over the counter meds, but we were trying to find an alternative to that and bought HEO's Resolve blend. Last night he used it for the first time, and it worked. He was able to fall asleep quickly. I applied it with a carrier oil behind his ears and neck, on the palm of his hands and under his feet. Normally he would not be able to fall asleep because of the throbbing, and he would give in for a migraine OTC med. Just letting everyone know, this EO stuff worked for us. - Anne

3. Resolve has become one of my favorite pain blends. I LOVE the aroma, so it's perfect for headaches and migraines that tend to make me feel nauseous. - Linda

4. I use Resolve when my children have aches and pains including growing pains. I have it in a roll-on and let them apply it where they want to. It fixes their complaint rather quickly.

5. I ordered Resolve by mistake. When it arrived I said, "What was I thinking?" I looked it up and saw that it's useful for headaches, so I put 38 drops in a 1oz. spray bottle with water (about 4%). I spray it on my nightgown and on the bedsheets near my face. I deal with several health challenges including migraine, fibromyalgia, osteo arthritis in the spine (from neck to tailbone) and Diabetes type 1. Sometimes I'm just worn out and it seems too much of an effort to set up the atomizer. A spray bottle needs only a couple of shakes and provides instant relief. Resolve calms and soothes me. I love the aroma. It relieves the worst of the pain and uplifts my spirit. It brings peace and deep relief. Resolve is my favorite blend. The name seems perfect -- it truly resolves a world of hurts. Surely the good Lord guided my hand when I made my first order of Resolve. - Becca

6. I had my meniscus repaired 8 years ago and tore it again last month. I'm using Pain Repair, Pain-X and Resolve. It is important to ice the knee at the end of the day also (especially if there is some swelling). Posture and walking correctly are also key (walking heel to toe and rolling from the heal to toe with each step helps tremendously. There are also some exercises I do before getting out of bed so the knees are not so stiff. The exercises also helps with circulation too. I finish with self massage in the shower. - Cassie

7. For a torn meniscus, you must ice like you've never iced before. I taped my knee for support, and it reminded me to treat it carefully (once it started feeling better). I rotated using Resolve and DeepEase in roll-on applicators. I purchased them in larger bottles and kept refilling the applicators. - Lauren

Safety
Birch: Dermal, Inhalation and Internal Contraindications:
Anticoagulant medication, major surgery, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, pregnancy, nursing, children and people with salicylate sensitivity, which may apply to people with ADD/ADHD (Tisserand/Young page 215).

Birch Internal Caution: Large doses of Birch can be toxic. 5mls of Birch is equal to approximately 21 aspirin (300 mg tablets). Large amounts taken orally can cause ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach pain and confusion. Tisserand notes that the maximum adult daily oral dose is 182mg, which would be less than .2mL. Oral Caution: GERD disease.

Tisserand writes about Wintergreen, which has the same properties as Birch:
"Wintergreen oil has some wonderful properties, but I would not like to see it used at more than 5%. No one has died from dermal [topical] application, but there have been at least three reported cases of people taking blood-thinning medication who broke out in internal bruising when they applied methyl salicylate-containing products to their skin. It enhances the blood thinning action of the drug, and blood leaks out of the blood vessels."

Clove Drug interaction Caution (oral): anticoagulant medication, major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders (Tisserand/Young p. 255).

Tisserand notes that "since eugenol significantly inhibits human MAO-A (Tao et al 2005), oral doses of eugenol-rich essential oils may interact with pethidine, indirect sympathomimetics, MAOIs or SSRIs." Caution is advised when Clove essential oil is ingested in conjunction with certain foods if taking MAO inhibiting antidepressants. Those containing tyramine, which include cheese, may precipitate a hypertensive crisis (Blackwell & Mabbitt 1965), while tryptophan-containing foods may lead to elevated serotonin levels.

Clove Dermal Caution: Hypersensitive, diseased or damaged skin, children under 2 years of age. Maximum dermal level: 0.5% (based on 96.9% eugenol content), which is 1 drop in 7 mLs of carrier (Tisserand/Young).

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
