In 2014 Kacey Dotson with The Maple Leaf Music Company in Missouri contacted us about creating a vocal spray to help her voice students. She gave us a list of oils she felt would be beneficial to include and we tinkered with the blend adding a few components to help bring her desire to pass. The result has been a popular blend for voice strain and as a general vocal tonic.

1. Each Christmas and Easter our church’s choir and orchestra presents a program to approximately 2000 people. I gave Vocal Rescue to several of the key vocalists, and they reported that it was a tremendous help. Vocal Rescue is now considered a “must have” in preparation for the programs. - Sherri

2. I sing in the church choir and am the primary base for many songs. This is the best thing I've ever tried. - Stan

3. I use Vocal Rescue when I feel like a sore throat may be coming on and for immune support. It has kicked the approaching sore throat every time, and I have yet to come down sick since using Vocal Rescue, even after being exposed multiple times to respiratory illnesses. - LR

4. The Vocal Rescue Spray has truly rescued me several times recently. It is the best I've used for re-occurring laryngitis. I will continue to recommend it to others. - Claudia

5. I’d been suffering from a terrible sore throat for a day or so when my friend suggested I try Vocal Rescue Spray. Because my sore throat was already in “full swing” by the time I tried the VR Spray, it didn’t take it away immediately, but it sure soothed the burning “raw” sensation while coating my throat. I half expected it to burn, as my throat was so raw by that point, but it actually did just the opposite. By the next day, my sore throat was nearly gone! I will defiantly use this (starting sooner) next time!  - Teresa

6. I burned the roof of my mouth with oven-hot food. Because of the blisters, it was very painful to eat or drink for several weeks. Looking for something that might relieve the pain, I mixed a few drops of Vocal Rescue into water and swished with it. To my surprise, it relieved the pain within a minute or two! - Emily

7. Vocal Rescue works great for laryngitis. - Pat

8. I use Vocal Rescue while performing in theater, and it helps a ton!! - Melissa

9. Vocal Rescue works great to ease the voice stress from many choir practices. - Anna

10. I have a choir practice from 7-9 pm every week. This stuff helps me get through when my voice starts feeling worn out. - Stephanie

Safety
Drug interaction:
May inhibit blood clotting. Do not use orally in cases of hemophilia or severe kidney or liver disease.

Oral use cautions: Diabetes medication, anticoagulant medication, major surgery, peptic ulcer, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
