Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage for more information and a Dilution Chart.)
Topical: Dilute with a carrier oilunscented lotion or unscented cream and apply as desired to wrists, temples, neck or as desired. Consider using a roll-on applicator for ease of application of prediluted oil. Maximum topical use level is 30% due to potential skin irritation risk with Cinnamon Leaf.

We suggest that adults follow the General Guidelines found on the Dilution Chart, which is:
2-3% for daily application
Up to 25% for short-term use

Children: Suitable for children over 6 due to the potential for skin irritation with Cinnamon Leaf. Please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

Inhalation: Diffuse or use a personal Nasal Inhaler. The Vanille in Relax is resinous (thick) and can settle, so as a caution, we don't advise diffusing it. Some have done so without any problems - at least I don't recall hearing of any problems. If there are problems reported, I will post them here.

5. In dealing with a trigger "thumb," I used several things. I splinted it since movement seemed to irritate it, and I iced it as often as possible since there was swelling. I used Pain-X and ConnectEase at the start when the pain was the most severe and for about two weeks into it—applying whenever I could. Though movement was painful, I did bend my thumb using my fingers on my other hand to loosen it up. Then I would try to move it using its own muscles, and then I'd apply the oils and ice it afterward. It was causing a lot of pain so I wasn't sleeping well. I applied the Relax blend on my whole arm from my shoulder to my fingers. I slept much better, and I noticed that the pain had lessened. I continued with the ice and moving it and applied the Relax every night for about a week or so more. Overall, it took about a month and a half to be pain-free. - Leigh

Safety
Cinnamon Leaf: Content is 1.6% and well-within safe range topically when used at 30% or less.

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
