Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage for more information and a Dilution Chart.)

Topical: Dilute with a carrier oilunscented lotion or unscented cream and apply on area of concern or as desired. Consider using a roll-on applicator for ease of application of prediluted oil. Diabetes Massage may be diluted 20% for short-term use. For daily use, we suggest adding more carrier oil to avoid potential skin sensitization. Massage as desired to support circulation and problematic skin.

Children: For infants and children, please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

SPRAY: Consider making a ready-to-use spray. To make a spray, simply decide on the appropriate dilution ratio, add the number of drops to the spray bottle, and then fill with the carrier oil of your choice. For example, for 2% Diabetes Massage in a 1oz bottle, put 20 drops Diabetes Massage blend in the bottle then fill with carrier oil.

Inhalation: Diffuse or use a personal Nasal Inhaler

We believe that essential oils are provided by the Lord to support our health and well-being.
The Lord is our wisdom, protector and healer.

1. This blend works very well. My husband had a sore on both legs, so I massaged one leg with this blend and he treated the other leg with the medication his doctor prescribed. The leg I treated with the Diabetes Massage blend healed very quickly, but he is still treating the other leg with the medication. Despite the obvious results of our "test," he is still resistant to using the essential oil blend because it's not the "official" stuff from his doctor. I feel confident that he would improve quickly if he'd let me massage his legs and feet several times daily with the essential oil blend. - Lucy

2. Diabetes Massage does so much more for me than I ever would have thought it could! When I was about 15 years old my feet decided to grow cysts on the entire tops of both feet. Multiple surgeries were done in an attempt to remove them and in hopes of them not returning. Huge fail! Not only were they unable to entirely remove them, they also did some snipping at my nerves causing damage. The scars are very ugly and have never faded, and the skin on my feet has been severely discolored ever since. Once healed, the cysts multiplied greatly. My only other option according to the doctors, was to get cortisone shots or submit to more exploratory surgery. Anyway, I've learned to live with my feet and their little cyst friends, and I never went back for more of their so-called treatments. I noticed 2 days ago that my feet looked different. For the first time in years, the cysts are a little smaller, softer and not near as lumpy looking or as hard as they were just last week. My scars look to be fading some and my skin is the color of skin! Wow.... that's my only word to describe it! It was totally unexpected, as I didn't get the blend for my feet. I use it 2-3 times a day, rubbing it on the bottoms and tops of my feet and up my legs to about knee level. I find it very relaxing and soothing. It also helps me get to sleep easier at night I think. Plus, it makes my skin so soft and smooth. - Elaina
Safety
Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat— like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. Tisserand suggests: "With essential oils, fatty oil has been suggested as an appropriate first aid treatment, though the advantage of saline [eyewash] is that the eyes can be continually flushed, and this is less easy with fatty oil.” We are not aware of a case where essential oil in the eyes caused permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
