Terms and Conditions

The choice of the process used in application of Hopewell Essential Oils' products
is the sole responsibility of the user.

By using or accessing the Hopewell Essential Oils website, you are acknowledging that you agree, without limitation or qualification, to the Terms of Use listed here. Acceptance of these Terms constitutes a legal, binding agreement between you and Hopewell Essential Oils. If you default willfully or negligently, in any of the terms, you shall be liable for all losses and damages caused to Hopewell Essential Oils.

SAFETY: I understand that essential oils should be stored away from the reach of children, pets or mentally challenged persons, and that it is the user's responsibility to use them safely. Essential Oil Safety

ADDITIONS TO ORDERS: First, determine if your first order is still in process by logging into your account and checking the status. If the order is marked "complete," then postage has been purchased and it is on the way and cannot be combined with a second order. If the order is not marked "complete," then place another order and we will combine the two and credit your account for the postage savings.

ORDER CHANGES: We will do our best to accommodate changes if the order has not been packed and/or shipped. If your order has already been packed and you wish to add on, the addition may need to be considered a new order.

ORDERING MISTAKE: If you made a mistake on a product you ordered, please notify us immediately via email upon order placement, and we will do our best to work with you. Restocks and refunds are subject to a 10% processing fee to cover costs involved with your order.

ORGANIC TERMS: I understand the use of the term "Certified Organic" means that the distiller that Hopewell Essential Oils buys the oil from is Certified Organic. I understand the use of the term "Wild Crafted" means the harvested plants are growing wild. I understand the use of the term "Unsprayed" means the farm/distiller is not certified organic, and is, to the best of Hopewell Essential Oils' knowledge, growing the plants without the use of chemicals, herbicides and pesticides. I understand that Hopewell Essential Oils is not a Certified Organic company.

PROCESSING TIME: Orders are typically processed quickly, so please double check it before completion. Once the oils have been mailed, we must require full payment. Most orders are processed the day they are received and mailed the next business day. USPS Priority and First Class mail is typically a 2-3 day delivery time. Tracking information is sent via email. Once the package leaves our facility, please direct questions about delivery to your local post office. We also offer UPS delivery options.

TRANSIT TIME: Hopewell Essential Oils ships via USPS or UPS, which typically has a 2-3 day delivery time. We are not responsible for mail service transit time. Transit times are provided by the carrier, may exclude weekends and holidays, and may vary with destination, particularly during peak periods. Please contact your local post office or UPS with tracking information if you have any questions about delivery.

RETURNS: If you ordered the wrong product or changed your mind, we accept returns within 30 days of receipt of order of unopened products in new condition. Credit for the return will be placed on your Hopewell account and will be automatically applied to your next order. Please contact us to arrange return and for your RMA#.

Diffusers are guaranteed by the manufacturer and have a different procedure than other returns. Please contact us for the RMA form.

We cannot accept returns for custom orders, 2 mL samples, Mouthwash or Tooth Suds. All opened or used products purchased through Hopewell Essential Oils are non-refundable. We offer small, sample sizes of most oils/blends so they can be sampled before investing in larger bottles. Please make sure you intend to order what you selected before you finalize the order. Please click on the products to read descriptions for each product. The raw materials we offer are all natural and, as such, may vary in color, consistency and aroma from batch to batch.

INSURANCE CLAIM: If you receive a damaged product, please contact us immediately. Photos of the damage will be very helpful.

DEFECTIVE PRODUCT: If you receive a defective product (such as a diffuser) or the wrong item, please contact us immediately to arrange repair/replacement/return. Diffusers have a 1-year warranty and are covered by the manufacturer, not HEO. Contact us for details.

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS: Occasionally a product shown as in stock on our site will be out of stock when the order is placed. We will contact you via email to alert you, send you a corrected invoice and credit your credit card or PayPal account depending on how you paid for the order. You will need to reorder the item once it's back in stock.

INTERNAL USE: While the quality of Hopewell Essential oils may be suitable for internal use,
we feel that internal use is rarely *needed* and should only be used with respect for how concentrated the oils are. HEO does not advocate internal use of essential oils without appropriate knowledge and understanding of safety concerns. A potential toxicity hazard could occur when untrained people use essential oils orally and ingest too much. Keep in mind that while medical doctors or health care practitioners may prescribe essential oils for internal use, they are trained and experienced in the safe application of essential oils. It is not a matter of using "French aromatherapy" or "British" methods, it's a matter of experience and appropriate application.

PLASTICS: Essential oils dissolve most plastic, so they are not suitable to be used in plastic drinking containers, humidifiers, CPAP masks and asthmatic nebulizers.

AVOID the EYES: I understand that the essential oils sold by Hopewell Essential Oils are not to be used near, on or in the eyes or mucus membranes. Exceptions will be products specifically formulated for and labeled as such.

ANIMAL USAGE: I understand that Hopewell Essential Oils does not promote the use essential oils on any animals, in any way, without the advice of a veterinarian or an experienced aromatherapist.

QUALITY OF OUR PRODUCTS: We offer pure and undiluted essential oils, carrier oils, and various other products and raw materials of the highest quality. The aroma and/or appearance of essential/carrier oils and various butters used in salves may vary with each re-order. We cannot guarantee that the product you order today will look and smell exactly like the one you ordered previously or like the one you ordered from another supplier. All "natural" products come from nature, and there is no standardization (although the term "natural" is not currently recognized in the U.S. by any regulatory entity). This variety is what makes essential oils so effective.

Our products are stored in a climate controlled environment 24/7. All our products are fresh, and we replenish our stock with regularity and as needed. Each order is prepared as it comes in; many of our products do not sit on a shelf pre-poured and pre-packaged.

Essential oils do not go rancid. For a product to go rancid, it must contain fat; essential oils do not contain fats. In some sizes, essential oils, carrier oils and other liquids are dispensed by weight, not by fluid ounces. This means that a bottle of a very light oil may be fuller than a bottle of a heavier, thicker oil. Bottles may not be filled to the top because the bottles may hold more than the stated amount, i.e., an 8 oz. bottle could hold almost 9 oz. of certain liquids. Some customers may be accustomed to using synthetic fragrance oils instead of essential oils. Fragrance oils should always smell the same. When this customer receives an order of pure essential oils, she may be disappointed that the essential oil does not smell the same as the synthetic fragrance oil. Some customers may have been ordering their essential oils from companies that do not specialize in essential oils as we do, and the customer is then disappointed at the subtle nuances of each pure essential oil purchased from us. Essential oils are impacted by what is known as terroir, the resultant oil and its properties will vary from crop to crop, and weather conditions will impact the color and aroma of an essential oil as will the country of origin. Before a customer orders a large quantity of an essential oil, we suggest that a sample be obtained due to our policy of no returns.
