Synergy Carrier Oil Blend

This is a wonderful, custom blend of carrier oils grown using *organic methods. Coconut (Cocos nucifera), Jojoba Seed (Simmondsia californica), Grapeseed (Vitis vinifera), Argan Nut (Argania spinosa), Meadowfoam Seed (Limnanthes Alba) *Our facility is not certified to make the "certified organic" claim once we rebottle.

Coconut oil - penetrates quickly; leaves skin silky smooth without a greasy feeling

Jojoba Seed oil - similar to human sebum; supports healthy skin, soothes scars and is easily absorbed

Grapeseed oil - excellent for damaged and stressed skin; absorbs readily

Argan Nut oil - referred to as 'liquid gold,' is soothing to dry, oily and problematic skin without clogging pores

Meadowfoam Seed oil - similar to human sebum, generous amount of vitamin E, luxuriously moisturizing and nourishing with mild UV and antioxidant protection properties

This blend contains NO man-made paraben preservatives or propylene glycols.

Shelf Life: Under normal, moderate room conditions, the shelf life is estimated at 2 years (unopened); 1 year after opening (refrigeration extends shelf life)

Shelf Life Suggestions:
  • Refrigeration will extend shelf life.
  • Oxygen is a big enemy to shelf life. Keep caps snug.
  • Write the date of purchase on the label in permanent marker.
  • Avoid contaminating the oil with fingers or pipettes inserted into the bottle. Unsterilized items such as fingers, cotton balls and pipettes that come into contact with the oils will potentially contaminate them. Pour off the quantity you will need into a smaller container or bottle and work from that.
Safety
For External Use
We don't recommend taking Jojoba oil internally (it is actually a liquid wax), although it probably is not harmful to do so in a small amount. Some literature claims that it's *indigestible.* It is high (14%) erucic acid, which in HIGH doses is toxic to humans (while deer, sheep etc. can eat the foliage, and squirrels and rabbits eat the seeds at will). We typically don't use something on our skin that we would not feel safe taking internally, but in the case of Jojoba, we avoid internal use. If we were in a pinch and wanted to dilute some oil to take in a capsule, and if Jojoba was the only oil we had around, I'd use it. Otherwise, we don't see any point in taking something that is not going to be beneficial.
