  • Open homeopathic bottles in a room without essential oil or other aromas present and administer the pellets there. If we are going to also use essential oils, we will wait about 30 minutes and then apply essential oils topically. If we take essential oils internally, we prefer to have a space of 2 hours between the essential oil use and taking the homeopathic remedy. Preferably, the homeopathic remedy is taken first.
  • You want your palate to be “clean” in the sense that it is free from aromatics. Avoid strong aromas such as mint, camphor, eucalyptus, tea tree, onion, garlic and so on. You may inadvertently antidote a homeopathic remedy, neutralize it or render it useless with particularly strong odors. We typically separate homeopathic use with strong aromatic use about 30 minutes topically and 2 hours orally if possible.
  • Dose is usually about 3 pellets (no worries if you get more - this does not increase the effect and is not harmful). Homeopathic pellets are generally taken orally under the tongue or in the cheek until dissolved.
  • Usually one would not take a remedy more than 3-5 times in a 24-hour period. In many cases, we will take a dose, and if the symptoms improve, then we don't take another dose until the symptoms return, thus we allow our body to indicate when and if we need another dose.
  • If the remedy does not ease the condition after 3 doses (no closer than 15 minutes apart), we re-evaluate and try a different remedy.
  • Many times the "right" remedy will ease symptoms within 20 minutes.
  • We typically don't try more than 3 remedies without consulting someone trained in homeopathy or our homeopathic book resources.
  • Illnesses may go through stages. It may be necessary to change remedies as the symptom picture changes. In this way, we are “chasing symptoms” until the illness is resolved.
  • Homeopathy works best when matched with the totality of the symptoms. Please click on the link provided to Homeopathic Materia Medica to differentiate which remedy is needed, using the guiding symptoms.

Testimonies
1. I use Arnica for any blow or trauma. Many times I can avoid bruising if I take the Arnica immediately. It helps ease swelling and bruising. This is one I carry with me! - Liz

2. Arnica and Chamomilla are my go-to’s for any kind of injury with my boys. - Elizabeth

3. After two sessions of sclerotherapy on my veins, it occurred to me to use the Arnica homeopathic pellets after the third session. It really made a significant lessening of the soreness, swelling and itching I experienced following the previous treatments. I guess I ought not to say that I wish I had thought of the Arnica sooner because going through what I did provided a good comparison for me to judge the efficacy of it. - Fran

4. Dog Bite: Our 1-year-old daughter got into our little dog's (he's 15) food bowl and was bitten on her hand last night before we could top her. Her hand swelled up and turned purple. We cleaned the wound and soaked her hand in epsom salts with Lavender and gave her arnica homeopathic pellets. Then we put Mercy (diluted w/carrier) on it, and have been praying for healing. The next morning her hand is still swollen, red (not purple) and warm to the touch. After soaking it and applying essential oils oils and PRAYERS, she's doing great! To encourage her to soak her hand in silver sol, lavender and epsom salt, my wife put water beads in the bottom of a mixing bowl for her to play with so she'd keep her hand in the water. We soaked her hand 2x a day and applied aloe vera and Mercy blend every couple of hours. The first 3 days we gave her Arnica and applied gel to the back of her hand. We gave her Apis Mel homeopathic 2 times the second day which really helped as well as the Ledum homeopathic. Thank you again for following up and all the prayers, may you and your family be blessed! - Anthony

5. A common homeopathic response to a broken bone is to first give Arnica 200c for the trauma, shock, bruising, blood loss and pain, followed by Ruta graveolens (30 or 200c) for several days to reduce the muscle bruising and tendon damage. After the bone has been properly set, Symphytum 200c is used to mend the fracture. - Joette Calabrese, HMC, CCH, PHom M

Conclusion: "Every homeopathic medicine is a complex nano-scale system involving multiple inter-connected, interacting components, and emergent properties. Simillimum individualization derives from formation of a unique personalized protein corona shell adsorbed to the reactive surface of the homeopathic nano-structures on contact with the recipient's body fluids. Low doses of such complex nano-structures initiate the adaptive processes of hormesis to mobilize endogenous healing of a disease state. The capacity for self-organization and self-similarity in complex systems is the key to future research on the nature of homeopathic medicines and systemic healing during individualized homeopathic treatment."

Homeopathic Remedies are made from substances found mostly in nature (animal, mineral or botanical) through a process of dilutions and succussions (vigorous agitation). Each remedy is manufactured according to the Homœopathic Pharmacopœia of the United States following strict formulation requirements.

The homeopathic manufacturing process for most plant sources is to begin with a dilution of one part plant and nine parts alcohol and water. This original 1:9 dilution is called the tincture or a 1X potency. All the homeopathic potencies are then made from this tincture. In each step, the material is diluted in a specified amount and succussed (vigorously shaken) to make a wide range of potencies. The beginning potencies of other starting materials may be treated differently.

Given how the remedies are processed, you may notice a slight alcohol aroma and any moisture present is residual alcohol that didn't evaporate off and will not affect the efficacy of the remedy.
