Delayed-Release Vegetarian Capsules Size -0- Approximately 100 capsules packaged by weight
Our delayed-release (acid resistant), vegetarian capsules were designed and tested in a pharmaceutical lab to dissolve slowly, therefore bypassing the strong acids of the stomach so that they break down and release their contents in the small intestine. The pH level of the small intestine decomposes the capsule in about 30-120 minutes. The capsules are suitable for dry powders and diluted essential oils (when prepared and used rather quickly). Made from purified water and carbohydrate gum derived from naturally occurring vegetable cellulose from either pine or poplar. The capsules are manufactured in an FDA-approved facility in South Korea (in accordance with GMP and ISO 9002 regulations).
Vegetable Cellulose: Vegetarian capsules are typically made of vegetable cellulose as an alternative to animal gelatin. Our capsules are formulated using a vegetable cellulose called hypromellose, which is derived from softwood trees, such as pine, poplar, spruce and fir trees. Manufacturers use hypromellose in many commercial products, including as a binder or coating in tablets. It is suitable for use with capsules and can delay the release of active ingredients into the digestive tract.
Safety and Storage Information: Capsules should be stored in a cool, dry place (58 to 79 degrees F. and Humidity 45% to 60%). Keep out of direct sunligh, hot water and high temperatures. Expiration date of the capsules is five years. Capsule content amount depends on the density, concentration and the amount of the powder or liquid used to fill. Do not fill standard vegetarian capsules with a water-based product (or if you do, take it immediately). Dilute essential oil with a “fatty oil” carrier rather than water-based carrier. Suppository Use Information Pneumonia, chronic bronchitis and lung congestion respond very quickly to essential oils when delivered by suppositories. The essential oils bypass the liver and are fed directly into the heart-lung circulatory system. Thus, they reach the lower bronchial capillaries in their original lipophilic and volatile state, still capable of eliminating pathogenic microorganisms and dissolving and expectorating mucus. If helpful, a suppository can be used every 1-2 hours as needed. A quick way to accomplish a suppository is to put 1-3 drops of Lung Support blend, Rosemary ct. verbenone, Myrtle or another mild oil of choice into an empty capsule and fill the rest full with a carrier oil such as Olive or Castor oil. The desired ratio is said to be 10:1 (1 drop essential oil to 10 drops carrier oil). If you do this for someone else, especially a child, try it on yourself first to be sure you have the dilution correct so that it's not uncomfortable. If diluted properly, it should not cause discomfort. For ease of filling a capsule, many prefer to use a pipette. We have glass pipettes and plastic available. Lubricate the capsule liberally and insert. Lie down or recline for about 30 minutes as the essential oils dissolve the capsule and move into the lungs. Always test your application on yourself before you apply to your child. Adjust the dilution if needed.
