Cleaners and Soaps: This anti-microbial blend is suitable to add to soaps and custom cleaning formulas. DO NOT USE ON SURFACES WITHOUT DILUTING.

Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage for more information and a Dilution Chart.)
Topical: Dilute with a carrier oil, unscented lotion or unscented cream and apply on area of concern or as desired. Consider using a roll-on applicator for ease of application of prediluted oil. Maximum topical use is 25%. Test for skin sensitivity, and then apply to spine, over areas of concern or as instructed by your health care provider. Skin irritation risk. Several oils in this blend are not suitable to use topically on a child under 2 years of age.

We suggest that adults follow the General Guidelines found on the Dilution Chart, which is:

2-3% for daily application

Up to 25% for short-term use

Children: For children over 2, please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

Inhalation: Diffuse or use a personal Nasal Inhaler

Internal: Not suitable due to Dalmation Sage.

1. Cleansing and Germ Buster are fantastic!! Many of the people I see with high infection counts respond well with either Cleansing or Germ Buster. On a consistent basis these two blends will take care of almost everything. Generally, my patients apply a drop 2-4x daily on the back of the neck, bottom of the feet, a hand's width around the belly button and any other area where infection is suspected. Kidneys/liver often show up as places in need of cleansing too. - C.P

2. Here's how I use your Germ Buster blend:
15ml Germ Buster
16oz Isopropyl Alcohol* (a safer alternative: 9oz Everclear + 7oz Vodka for same effect)
The essential oil is soluble in alcohol at this ratio (~10%). This is effective to clean toilets (not the bowl), tubs, showers and kitchen counters if desired.

*[HEO's Comment: Isopropyl alcohol is not a harmless substance. It is readily absorbed through the skin and may have harmful systemic effects. If ingested, it is highly toxic and may even be fatal. We prefer to use a food-grade alcohol or none at all. The oils will disinfect surfaces even when diluted with just water. You need to shake the sprayer well and often so the essential oil doesn't float to the top.]

3. My son has Down Syndrome, and we had a houseful here for his 1st birthday. I diffused [Pro diffuser] Germ Buster all day since everyone was just getting over something. He's doing great!! 4. My husband had a very bad round of an infected hair folical, that grew into a huge cyst. After two rounds of antibiotics, it still was not getting better. I first started using diluted Warrior and Tamanu oil on it. But, what really brought all the puss to the surface was Germ Buster. However, even after it stopped looking infected, the cyst never got smaller until I started putting Tangerine oil on it everyday twice a day. The cyst looks 90% smaller now and is not infected. 5. Hurricanes and tropical storms really stir up mold. Years ago my allergist told me that mold spores can be stirred up by these storms and transported hundreds of miles inland because they are so light. 7. I had a skin cancer area behind my left ear for at least 3 years. I'm a nurse, and I think that it was Basal Cell. My PCP referred me to a dermatologist, but having read up on treatments, I decided to use naturals, as I didn't want the toxic ointments or the scrapings that can also damage other ear structures. I started with Frankincense for several months with no noticeable improvement. I prayed and did a lot of reading. I decided to use Hopewell's Germ Buster blend, as several of the oils have cancer-fighting actions. I applied it for several months with no dilution. It kept it at bay, but it didn't decrease the size initially. I was hospitalized 6 times in 2022 for other issues and each time was without my Germ Buster. During my hospital stays, the lesion would grow until family brought it into me. Fast forward to Dec. 2022, I began using hand lotion as a carrier oil and the lesion began to quickly decrease in size. (For my kidney issues I take Sodium Bicarb which lowers the body PH, so this may also be a partial factor.) So, by Feb. 10, 2023 the lesion is totally gone. I still apply Germ Buster with lotion several times weekly and plan to continue to do so. - Michael

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding Caution: Dalmation Sage is not considered suitable for pregnancy/lactation because inappropriate use can be an abortifacient.

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat— like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. Tisserand suggests: "With essential oils, fatty oil has been suggested as an appropriate first aid treatment, though the advantage of saline [eyewash] is that the eyes can be continually flushed, and this is less easy with fatty oil.” We are not aware of a case where essential oil in the eyes caused permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
