Working with essential oils on a daily basis, we have marveled at the variety of beautiful aromas and healing properties the Lord has invested in these tiny molecules. After creating a new blend one day I asked my young daughter to smell it and offer her opinion. Her response: "Oh, that smells like heaven!"

Perhaps heaven will have the sweet aroma of His wonderful essential oils. Psalm 45:8 speaks of the garments of the Lord having the aroma of myrrh, aloes and cassia, a blend of oils high in sesquiterpenes which aid in immune system support. Myrrh is antiseptic, balancing to the thyroid and endocrine system and supports the immune system. Aloes also stimulate the release of melatonin, which enhances deep sleep, and cassia was part of the holy anointing oil blend the Lord gave to Moses. It also offers immune system support.

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions. All Your garments are scented with myrrh, aloes and cassia. Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad. ~ Psalm 45:6-8 (also see Hebrews 1:8-9)

Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage) for more information and a Dilution Chart.)
Topical: His Garments blend has Cassia, which can be a skin irritant if not used with adequate dilution. Dilute with a carrier oilunscented lotion or unscented cream. Tisserand/Young suggest that Cassia should be diluted to 0.05%, which in this blend wound be one drop of His Garments to 10mL carrier.

Caution: Due to the skin irritant potential, avoid topical use on hyersensitive, diseased or damaged skin and on children under 2 years of age. Test your dilution on a small area first to be sure it is correct for your skin.

Inhalation: Diffuse the essential oil only.

Internal: The His Garments blend is suitable for internal use within safe parameters if such use is deemed appropriate. We feel that internal use is rarely *needed* and should only be used with respect for how concentrated the oils are. HEO does not advocate internal use of essential oils without appropriate knowledge and understanding of how to administer, for what purpose, how much, which essential oils, safety concerns and so on. In our experience, essential oils are generally more effective used topically with proper dilution or inhaled. Kurt Schnaubelt Ph.D. notes that "French aromatherapy literature contains many references to using oils orally." He goes on to note that "generally 1 drop is always enough when ingesting essential oils." A potential toxicity hazard could occur when untrained people use essential oils orally and ingest too much. Keep in mind that while medical doctors or health care practitioners may prescribe essential oils for internal use, they are trained and experienced in the safe application of essential oils. It is not a matter of using "French aromatherapy" or "British" methods, it's a matter of experience and appropriate application.

Oral CautionCaution Orally: Diabetes and Anticoagulant medication (such as aspirin, heparin, warfarin), Drugs metabolized by CYP2D6 (if unsure, ask your MD or pharmacist), Hemophilia Peptic Ulcer, Internal bleeding, and other Bleeding disorders, Major Surgery and Childbirth (up to one week before or after), Severe Hepatic (liver) or Renal (kidney) impairment, Hypertensive or Diabetic Retinopathy, Thrombocytopenia (decreased platelet count), Vasculitis

1. Very interesting blend. It's not sweet but very subtle and appealing. Wonderful!

2. I use His Garments as a moisturizing spray. This is a perfect blend to use on my hands to keep the germs at bay when I go out in public.

3. His Garments is a beautiful blend! I love it. In my Bible study we studied 2 Cor. 2:15-16 today. It says, "For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life." That is what this blend reminds me of. If He had it on His garments, that was His aroma, the fragrance of life. Beautiful. I can't wait to take it to my Bible study next time and let everyone smell what Jesus smells like. Thank you for making it. - Tina

4. I had a compliment yesterday on His Garments. Someone asked what fragrance I was wearing, and it caught me off guard because I had forgotten I'd put it on! - Sheri

5. His Garments is just heavenly. - Lisa

6. I received my bottle of His Garments today. I love it. My husband and daughter love it also. It's an absolutely wonderful new blend. Thank you, Linda, for your devotion to the Lord and the use of His oils, creating blends and sharing them with us. - Sheila R.

7. I have been applying His Garments as a spray daily on my plantar warts over the past week, and they seem to be reducing in size. - Blake

8. I also started making my own deodorant (.25 cup of baking soda and cornstarch, 4 T of coconut oil and a few squirts of His Garment spray because I love the smell). It has worked better than any other kind of deodorant I have used, and I have used a lot! I was always getting different kinds, different smells, because nothing seemed to be working. I no longer have stinky armpits, or sticky armpits and I smell wonderful because of His Garment blend! - Leigh

9. For years I could not wear perfumes (must have been the toxic ingredients.) After discovering HEO'S His Garments blend, it has become my favorite wear-it-just-cuz-it-smells-good essential oil. The first time I smelled it, I thought, "Oh, that makes me so happy!" Then I thought, "You're just being melodramatic. You choose to be happy when you smell it." Then I read somewhere how essential oils actually have an affect the emotions physiologically, and I understood what was happening. I'm so grateful, first to God for creating plants and for teaching man how to extract the essential oils. Secondly, for folks like you at HEO who provide the essential oils and educate us. THANK YOU! - Julia

10. I cannot say enough about His Garments as a moisturizing spray. I have used the spray before bed time consistently the last 12 nights. My fitness tracker shows that 10 out of those 12 nights have been 100% sleep efficiency with 0 times waking up. The other 2 nights were 98% and only waking twice, which is still great. I have not used OTC sleep aid and feel so much better. I also imagine myself actually putting on HIS garments and being clothed in Him!!! - Ann Marie

11. I love this stuff! We anoint/pray for healing with it as well. - Jaton

12. I love this blend. I find it is the most effective oil combo to help calm anyone who is feeling stressed. We love it. I almost always rub over shoulders. - Sunny

13. On a whim, I ordered "His Garments" along other oils I needed. (I don't really do well with perfume.) It's a wonderful scent, very comforting. Thanks again for fast shipment and wonderful quality! - Adriana

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat— like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. Tisserand suggests: "With essential oils, fatty oil has been suggested as an appropriate first aid treatment, though the advantage of saline [eyewash] is that the eyes can be continually flushed, and this is less easy with fatty oil." We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
