Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage for more information and a Dilution Chart.)
Topical: Dilute with a carrier oilunscented lotion or unscented cream and apply on area of concern or as desired. Consider using a roll-on applicator for ease of application of prediluted oil. Dilute appropriately and apply as desired. If you want a 3% dilution ratio for daily use, add 1 drop of Tender Skin blend to 5 drops carrier.

Children: For infants and children, please refer to the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

For skin issues and repair, including diaper rash. If you need to seal a rash, as in the case of a diaper rash, then use Tender Skin Salve with Bee's wax. If you’d like to use it more as a massage oil, you may want to consider the Tender Skin Moisturizing Spray. Our experience with this blend has never caused pain in rashes or minor skin irritations. If in doubt, use cautiously and be prepared to dilute with a massage oil like coconut, jojoba or olive.

Inhalation: Not suitable to use in a diffuser due to carrier oil in the blend

Safety
Ylang Ylang is a potential skin irritant when applied to the skin at over .8%. It is .8% in this blend.

Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
