These salt lamps are made of natural Himalayan crystal salt mined from underground salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in Pakistan.

 

Himalayan salt lamps absorb moisture from the air, and when it's turned on, the heat typically helps the moisture to evaporate. "Dripping" salt is apt to happen in climates with high humidity, so definitely set the lamp on a saucer or something to protect your furniture.

 

Lamp comes with an on/off switch on the cord near the base and a bulb. Replacement bulbs are typical nightlight bulbs: E12 / 110V / 15 watt
