Application Suggestions (See Essential Oil Usage for more information and a Dilution Chart.)
Topical: Dilute with a carrier oilunscented lotion or unscented cream and apply on area of concern or as desired. Consider using a roll-on applicator for ease of application of prediluted oil. Solace is NOT phototoxic.

Since Solace does not have a limiting dilution parameter, we suggest that adults follow the General Guidelines found on the Dilution Chart, which is:
2-3% for daily application
Up to 25% for short-term use

Children: For infants and children, please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

SPRAY: Solace makes a wonderful spray. To make a spray, simply decide on the appropriate dilution ratio, add the number of drops to the spray bottle, and then fill with the carrier oil of your choice. For example, for 3% Solace in a 1oz bottle, put 30 drops Solace blend in the bottle then fill with carrier oil. We offer cap labels with "Solace" printed on them if you'd like to get a couple to identify the bottle.

Inhalation: Diffuse or use a personal Nasal Inhaler

1. I love this blend! I have been fond of using Neroli for several years when stress in my life sent me into depressive moments, but this blend tops expensive Neroli, and I find that by using it more regularly (because I can afford to), I am much more consistently in control of my emotions. - D.P.

2. Solace...wow, just wow.  The Holy Spirit must guide you in your blends...no doubt in my mind. I've been "off balance" over my concerns about Chemtrails, etc.  I saw that this bottle said stress relief - sounded possibly perfect, and it was. Within minutes of turning on my diffuser, I could have gone to sleep. This one, for me, would be a sleep inducer - lavender, not so much for me. Love it! - N.S.

3. I got the Solace to experiment and see if it would be something my sister could use, or my daughter, who lives at an over-the-top stress level. I wasn't sure at first smell, but now I totally love it. In fact, I put it on in the morning as a perfume and at night as "my little pillow" which I couldn't go to sleep without when I was a little girl. It's really quite remarkable. It more than smells good. It has a grounding base. - K.T.

4. I got Solace to help with my mood swings, and it's really helping me a lot, but the amazing report is that my husband is crazy about the aroma, which helps my mood as much as the Solace aroma does! This is a fantastic blend! - Linda.

5. I have a lot of EOs around here and am decently familiar with how they work and their effects. I just ordered a bunch more, and one was a blend I read about in the testimonial section that sounded good. This one is called Solace. Linda, you did it again, you knocked this one out of the ball park! I've been really anxious this past week, and honestly down right cranky (gets old having to always say, "Lord I'm being rotten" ..sigh). I put Solace in the diffuser (and by the way, I'm crazy about this incredibly, new, wonderful, unbelievable EO diffuser. It's the Hopewell Pro - what a breakthrough in diffusers). Within minutes of turning on the diffuser I truly felt all the anxiety just melt. I actually wanted to go to sleep, but no time for that. I've never had a blend do that before. - N.S.

6. I use three different oils for when I'm feeling down. I choose the one I want based on the smell - whichever smells best at the time. Solace is the best example. The aroma varies the most from repulsive to amazing. The other two are Grateful and Renew. They never smell repulsive, but they do vary from okay to amazing. Hope this helps someone!! - Loretta

7. I love Solace. It lifts me up right away. - Jinnie

8. My teen daughter has been having horrible struggles with hormones this past year. Our naturopath placed her on a special diet and a variety of excellent supplements, but of everything she says, "The thing that honestly helps most is the essential oils. (Solace most days, but Sunshine on others.) - Dell

9. My young teen has pre-PMS symptoms and finds Solace to be a wonderful help! It's been an enormous blessing the past year or so. Solace is what she uses when it's at its worst, but occasionally she'll alternate with Sunshine. My teen testifies that it's been the thing that helps the most.

10. I made up two roller bottles with 1/2 tsp almond oil, 1/2 tsp vodka, (helps the almond oil to emulsify - not so oily). To this I added 4 drops of Solace. I meant for 3, but oops, you know how that can happen. I felt so good. I was wound down in the best possible way. I was very alert, but very calm. When my Mom tried her bottle on her wrists and inner elbows, she felt the same response. She deals with migraine and tension headaches, and I struggle with fibromyalgia. Tonight I mixed equal amounts (3 drops each) of Solace and Valerian in my diffuser. The pain is now 80% less than the weather-related pain I've dealt with in the last 5 days. I've been diagnosed with degenerative joint disease (DJD, that is, osteo arthritis.) Normally, I can't even sit up at 11 pm. With fibromyalgia, I've found it useful to use essntial oils that calm the central nervous system (CNS.) May the good Lord guide you to the oils that work best for you. I'm praying for you if you're reading this! - Becca

Safety
Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
