Topical:
Dilute with a

Arnica
and
Emu
are both excellent choices for dilution, as both are noted to help with painful inflammation. Consider using a

We believe that essential oils are provided by the Lord to support our health and well-being.
The Lord is our wisdom, protector and healer.
(Genesis 1:29-30, Ezekiel 47:12)
1. This blend helped my
aching tendon pain
tremendously. In less than a week of using this consistently, I felt that I was healed. - B.A.
2. I've tried a lot of remedies for
tendon pain
, but this one exceeds them all. - D.F.
3. My daughter used Tendon Ease on a finger that she injured and
couldn't bend
, and now she has perfect movement. Bless the Lord!! - Mary
4. My sister
pulled a groin muscle
during a workout that left her nearly
unable to walk without pain
. That same evening she applied Tendon Ease to the injured area about 4 times before bed. She awoke the next day with no pain, leaving her able to resume working out! Yay! - Elizabeth P.
5. If you're over 40 (like me), your tendons are less elastic and can tolerate less stress. As a gardener, I've suffered tendon problems in both my
elbow and wrist
. My doctor's advise: rest, ice and aspirin. These reduce the pain temporarily, but they aren't a long term solution. From Valerie Ann Worwood's book,
The Complete Book pf Essential Oil's and Aromatherapy
, I found a formula for tendonitis that works wonderfully well. Twice a day I apply this blend of Hopewell Essential Oils to the affected area:
10 drops each of the following essential oils in 2 TB carrier oil:
Rosemary
Lavender
Peppermint
I have no pain, and I'm regaining my strength in my hand and arm. May the Lord bless you! ~ Karen
6. I ordered your Tendon Ease for both of my wrists, as I recently had to have surgery on my right one (and my left one shows similar symptoms, but we are hoping to avoid surgery there since it is not my dominate arm) for
tendonitis
that developed after my little guy was born. It has
eased up the swelling and pain in both IMMENSELY!
It was almost instantaneously noticeably effective! God’s provisions in His Creation truly are amazing. - Sarah
7. I use Tendon Ease on the top of my feet and knees nightly (from a roll-on applicator). I have a
"weird" pain
on the top of my feet. One of my knees has also started to hurt on the side. Consistently putting these oils on the area nightly has taken the pain away! - Susan
8. I just have to share! My husband has had
tendonitis pain
in his knee for about 6 months. Not wanting to take any OTC medications, he asked me to order Tendon Ease for him. He's been using it once a day for a week and today he did a complete squat without pain! A WEEK! Amazing! Thanks for all you do!! - Julie
9. I just wanted to let y'all know that the Tendon Ease worked amazingly for my husband! He had been having
tendon pain
on and off in his wrist since June. It had gotten to where it was
constant pain
, he was tempted to take OTC pain meds, but we try to stay away from those. So I ordered some Tendon Ease, and when it came in I put it on his wrist. Within 30 minutes the pain was completely gone, and he had full range of mobility. I assumed it would last a few hours and he would need more, but it's been about a week and the pain hasn't returned! Thank you so much! - Helen
10. I was so thankful that I had this oil on hand. A few days ago I
damaged my ankle
, and the pain was getting so bad that I couldn't put weight on it. Even when off of it the pain was getting terrible. I had relief within five minutes of applying the oil. Within 30 minutes, the pain was gone and it stayed away for about three hours before I had to reapply. My ankle is much improved after less than 24 hours with this oil. I will certainly keep this in my collection. - Cassandra
11. I just got great news that the
fifth metatarsal that I fractured is healed
! I can begin the process of walking!! However, the exercises that the MD gave me to strengthen the ankle/foot caused me knee issues. The X-ray was clear, but the area that I was hurting (front) could indicate meniscus issues. I ordered Tendon Ease, and it has helped tremendously. Olive leaf extract has helped too. I can bear weight now. - Dana
12. I use Tendon Ease in a roll-on applicator (10 drops) topped off with Hemp oil for
tendonitis
and
inflammation
on arms, foot, elbows, knees, neck, hips, etc. I apply it 3-4 times daily. I also use Tendon Ease and
Pain-X
together (6 drops each) in a roll-on applicator (10 drops) topped off with Hemp oil. This blend has been giving me relief in so many areas of my body!! I apply it 3-4 times daily. I thank God for these blends, as they have improved my quality of life. - Joselyn
13. I used the recipe mentioned in testimony #5 above. I put the oils in a roll-on applicator and applied it 5 times daily: upon waking, after each meal and at bedtime. I rolled it on the area of my elbow then down the arm to my pinky and ring finger - my
tennis elbow
hurt all the way to my fingertips! This combination kept me going until I could get to a chiropractor that did acupuncture. I maintained the essential oil rub downs during my treatment as well. You can ice the elbow for 20 minutes out of each hour at the height of the injury/pain. - Mary
14. In January 2019 I started using Tendon Ease in a roll-on applicator (10 drops) topped off with hemp oil for chronic tendinitis and inflammation on arms, foot, elbows, knees, neck, hips and so on (due to
Post Polio Syndrome
). I apply it 3-4 times daily. Since my condition is chronic I also use PainX and Regeneration in a similar way in alteration. These blends have been giving me
relief in so many areas of my body
!! I apply them 3-4 times daily. I thank God that with these blends they have improved my quality of life. - Joselyn
15. TendonEase and
BruiseEase
have been significantly effective in
decreasing my pain from multiple chronic tendonitis issues, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and fibromyalgia
, which I've had for over a year. I had been on a regimen of physical therapy, Naproxen and Gabapentin for about 9 months before I discovered these oil blends, and even though they were essential in making progress and keeping things manageable, I still had daily pain that greatly impeded mobility and functionality as a professional art model and dancer. When I finally found TendonEase and Bruise Ease, I was able to use both of them on various areas, and within the first few hours I felt a decrease in pain of about 20-30%! Since then I have continued to apply them multiple times a day, often with massage, and have experienced a significant increase in my rate of progress in physical therapy, range of motion, and ability to handle normal life demands. I would say the TendonEase really takes the 'rawness' away from the tendons and the BruiseEase helps a lot with the tissue-related pain, including muscle soreness and all the overcompensation stress that builds up around the affected area. I tend to overlap them in places. (Note: The oils did not enable me to discontinue the pain meds, but were very successful when used in combination with the meds and gentle massage. Based on other reviews, I tried Pain X, ConnectEase and Ouch! but had much less success with these for my particular problems.) I also found the beautifully subtle and complex aromas of both TendonEase and BruiseEase to be very compatible and noticeably uplifting and inspiring, so that I'm in a much more positive mood for either work or relaxation. I've also shared TendonEase with another dancer with similar foot problems, and she also reported significant success with both the pain decrease and aromatherapy. We will be placing another order together soon. For those of you who are visually-oriented, I recommend using a
clear glass roll-on applicator
for the TendonEase since it's such a pretty Prussian Blue color! BruiseEase is nearly colorless, so I like the
cobalt blue glass applicator
for a bit of color therapy. - Arielle
Safety
Dermal Risk:
Lemongrass is considered non-toxic, but it may cause skin irritation for some because it contains Citral, which is a strong sensitizer. Avoid use on broken skin. Use caution with infants and children.
Pregnancy Risk:
Robert Tisserand reported at a Clinical Safety Aromatherapy conference (2013) that there is a possibility that Citral (in Lemongrass) may affect tooth and bone development in the fetus.* Tisserand's recommend dilution for topical use is 4 drops per fluid ounce (0.7%). Tisserand suggests the use of Lemongrass to be restricted to 0.5% maximum topically during pregnancy due to citral which could affect fetal development in high topical doses. "Citral impairs reproductive performance in female rats by reducing the number of ovarian follicles (Toaff et al 1979). The effect, however, was seen only after a series of six monthly ip injections at a dose of 300 mg/kg. This is equivalent to injecting ~ 25mL of lemongrass oil into a woman's abdomen. Based on other research, we have restricted citral exposure in pregnancy" (Tisserand, page 149).
Antibiotics:
Contraindicated by all routes in significant amounts due to Lemongrass. Dr. Valnet writes that oils high in aldehydes, such as Lemongrass, can "inactivate antibiotics and so limit their use in ointment form." Tisserand does not mention this caution in the 2014 edition of his Essential Oil Safety book.
Antidepressants:
There are some that feel that oils high in citral (Lemongrass) should be avoided with antidepressants (specifically Bupropion) that inhibits CYP2B6 enzyme. Tisserand states that this risk is considered "theroretical" based on the research.
Diabetes medication:
Use Lemongrass with caution orally.
Eyes:
Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat—like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Flushing with water will only send the essential oil back to the eye's membranes. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. We’ve not known this to cause permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
