Medication/Health Issues: Contraindicated all routes due to Peppermint: Cardiac fibrillation, and G6PD deficiency. To avoid skin sensitization risk, do not use old and oxidized oils.

Rectal Fissure Blend by Jade Shutes

20 grams Organic Cocoa Butter (about 1/4 cup) - I'd use infused oil instead and put into capsules

10 mLs Calendula or St. John's Wort infused oil (about 1TB)

16 drops Tea Tree

15 drops Rosemary ct camphor (we don't carry ct camphor, but I'd use either Rosemary I had on hand)

12 drops German Chamomile

9 drops Cistus

6 drops Helichrysum
[HEO's Comment: If you don't have all the oils above, these are suitable substitutions: Myrtle, Basil, Cypress and Peppermint (is cooling but use very little as it can be intense!)]

Application Suggestions (see Essential Oil Usage):
Topical: If you have the "ready-to-use" H-Care, apply on location as often as desired.

Children: For infants and children, please follow the Dilution Chart on the Babies and Children page.

Hemorrhoids: Typically, a small amount is poured onto toilet tissue and applied as desired or poured into the palm of one hand, then swipe the fingers of the other hand through it to apply.

Kurt Schnaubelt PhD, founder and science director of the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, writes the following in regard to using essential oils vaginally/rectally: According to Dr. Belaiche the use of suppositories (vaginal or rectal) presents a double benefit for aromatherapy treatments:

1. The essential oil acts topically (in-situ) if used for vaginal disorders.

2. The essential oil is absorbed readily by the afferent veins to the internal iliac vein, and by the pelvic-lymphatic system.

The adult dosage is 0.2 mL of essential oil per 2 mL carrier oil, which is a 9% dilution ratio.
A simple way to make a suppository is to fill an empty capsule with the diluted essential oil blend, coat it with a lubricating carrier oil and insert.

We took her to the pediatrician the next day, and he confirmed she had an ear infection and gave us an antibiotic; however, we just applied H-Care to her ear every couple of hours throughout the day, and she was completely fine by that evening! 7. Thank you so so much for your H-Care blend! I seriously want to tell everyone about it. I just had my first child 7 weeks ago, and after about 2 weeks, I suddenly had very painful experiences when using the bathroom. This continued for weeks. It would bring me to tears from how painful it was, and I was researching a ton and using Apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, various different essential oils (Lavender, Frankincense and maybe a few others), and none of these natural remedies were helping! I noticed you guys had a hemorrhoid blend, but the price tag had me hesitating. But finally I decided to order it! My word! Instant relief. I had really focused on softening my stool by eating yogurt and things with fiber in them, as well as taking a magnesium supplement, and then applying your oil blend. WOW! Safety
Avoid contact with the eyes and other sensitive areas. Essential oils are both lipophilic and hydrophobic. Lipophilic means they are attracted to fat— like the membranes of your eyes and skin. They are also hydrophobic, meaning they do not like water. Applying a carrier oil will create another fat for the essential oil to be attracted to other than the membranes of the eyes or skin. Tisserand suggests: "With essential oils, fatty oil has been suggested as an appropriate first aid treatment, though the advantage of saline [eyewash] is that the eyes can be continually flushed, and this is less easy with fatty oil.” We are not aware of a case where essential oil in the eyes caused permanent injury or long-term discomfort, but if you feel concerned, please call your health care provider.
